Veterans and their families will be able to get free help accessing benefits, or just finding out what their benefits are October 28 and 29 in Derby.
Veterans Service Representatives from the Kansas Commission on Veterans Affairs Office will have their mobile van parked in front of Radio Shack at 707 N. Baltimore in Derby from 10 am to 6 pm, ready to provide free help to veterans and their families.
The mobile office will also be in Newton, at Dillons, 1216 N Main, October 30 and 31 from 10 am to 6 pm providing the same free services.
The Kansas Commission on Veterans Affairs Office has 17 offices situated around the state, but they also have three mobile offices which take their services to the veterans who may not live near the offices. The mobile offices and the Veterans Service Representatives who man them are tasked with providing help with veteran benefits in all 105 Kansas counties.
